Changing Akeneo user passwords and creating new users
Learn how to create a new password for your Akeneo account to replace a forgotten one easily and securely.

Changing your password (when you know your old password)
- In Akeneo, each user can only change their own password if they are already logged in.
- If you remember your old password, you can change it in Akeneo's settings (for example, My profile → Password ).

Forgotten password (direct reset not possible)
- Akeneo does not have a real “password reset” function, which means that if you forget your password and cannot log in, you will not be able to reset it through the user interface.
- Other users will also not be able to reset your password due to Akeneo's restrictions.

Solution for forgotten password
- The only option is to ask a member of your organization to delete or block your old user account and create a new one for you.
- After this, you can log in with your new ID and set a password of your choice.

The role of AI Commerce
- AI Commerce does not manage the customer organization's Akeneo users or passwords. The responsibility for user management and creation of new users always lies with the customer organization.

Creating a new user in Akeneo
- Open the system administration (e.g. System or Administration ).
- Select “Users” .
- Click the green button “Create user”.
- Fill in the required information for a new user, such as name and email address.
- Save the information, and a new user account will be created.
Once your user account has been created, you can log in with a new ID and set a password upon first login.
