This guide will cover AI Commerce 's File Manager tool, which you can use to manage your online store's own uploads – the Upload folder. Through the File Manager, you can add, delete, and create folders and files, which makes it easier to maintain your site and keep your materials in a clear order. In addition, the Uploads path utilizes Amazon Web Services' fast delivery tools (such as CloudFront Edge Cache and Lambda functions) to automatically optimize images.

File Manager location

1. Log in to the AI Commerce dashboard .
2. Select the Tools tab in the top bar.
3. Open the File Manager page.

Here you can see the files and folders located in the directory, up to 1000 results per page. The limitation makes it easier to use in a browser. If necessary, you can use folders as a division aid if there are a lot of files.

Uploads folder and optimization

• The Uploads folder is a separate storage silo for the merchant's own uploads.
• AWS CloudFront and the Lambda function take care of automatic image optimization when using, for example, the ?w=1000 parameter or the imageset function.

Files and folders

In FileManager, you can see a list of both folder and file information. The list includes:

• Type (folder or file)
• Name
• File size
• Last modified date
• Delete/Management buttons

For example, you can delete a wrong file that you accidentally downloaded. Note that the system will not allow you to delete a folder if there are still files in the folder. So empty the folder first by deleting or moving its contents.

Uploading files (Upload File and Upload Folder)

1. Upload File
   • Press the Upload File button.
   • Drag multiple files at once into the window that opens.
   • Press the Back button to return to the overview.
   • If you want to upload files directly to a specific folder, first navigate inside the folder and then select Upload File .
2. Upload Folder
   • Select Upload Folder if you want to import the files contained in an entire folder at once (e.g. several images).
   • Please note that the entire folder structure will not be moved, but all files in that folder will be downloaded to the selected location.
   • The files will be saved in the folder you were in when you pressed Upload Folder .

Safety and restrictions

• You cannot navigate above the Uploads folder for security reasons.
• The URLs of all files start https://kauppasi.fi/uploads/ .
• The Amazon S3 backend does not offer a direct search function, but you can limit your view with the Quick Filter function.
• If there are more than 1000 files at once, use the Next 1000 and Preset 1000 buttons to move from page to page and then narrow the list with Quick Filter.
