This article lists all reserved attributes in AI Commerce and Akeneo integration. They should not be used for other purposes, as AI Commerce utilizes them for built-in business logic (e.g. freight calculators, tax calculations, product inventory management). If you have already used any of these attributes for other purposes, remove or reset them in Akeneo or update your processes according to the default logic of AI Commerce .

AI Commerce default

Most of the attribute codes listed below are already included in the default attribute group of AI Commerce . However, not all of these codes may be included in every installation, as each Akeneo installation environment is slightly different.

At the same time, all AI Commerce stores share the same interface version, so the list of reserved attribute codes below is universal . This means that these codes should not be used for purposes other than AI Commerce 's internal purposes.

NOTE!

Consecutive numbering of codes for clarity. For example, extra_image_1–extra_image_9 are all individual attributes, but in the list they are combined.

Reserved media file attributes (1-10 each)

AI Commerce also supports many file-based attributes, 1-10 of each. These are intended as attachments to be displayed on the product card (e.g. PDF instructions, CAD files, videos). The same logic applies: do not use these for your own purposes if you want to take advantage of AI Commerce 's built-in media handling. Media files have their own help articles in both AI Commerce and Akeneo.

What does each Akeneo attribute relate to in AI Commerce ?

  • width, length, height – freight calculators and logic related to shipping dimensions
  • vat_rate – product VAT rate
  • price_current – basic price (b2c)
  • price_business - price for business customers (b2b)
  • price_purchase - purchase price
  • pdf_1 – pdf_10 (etc. file prefixes) – documents, instructions, drawings, videos…
  • status – product activity
  • sku, ean – unique identifiers
  • products_location – shelf/warehouse location
  • availability_in_stock/out_of_stock – stock availability representation
  • shipping_fee – product-specific shipping cost management
  • comment_instructions - text attribute that overrides the instructions in the comment field displayed on the product card
  • sort - the order of products in categories, if the order is chosen by the merchant
  • etc.

All of these are linked at the coding level in AI Commerce to the purchasing process, inventory management, shipping calculations, or visibility on product pages.

If you accidentally used an attribute for another purpose

  1. Reset the attribute from the product values (e.g. by deleting the file, clearing the value).
  2. Remove the attribute from Akeneo or leave it only in the sense that AI Commerce designed it for.
  3. If you wish, you can create your own, new attribute (with the code oma_tarkoitus_1 , etc.) if you want to implement the same thing without AI Commerce 's internal logic.

Summary

  • Do not use reserved codes for any other purpose. These include sku , weight , vat_rate , pdf_1..pdf_10 and all other codes listed above.
  • AI Commerce utilizes these fields in its internal logic: taxes, freight, inventory management, product card media files, etc.
  • If you accidentally “overwrite” them with your own values, AI Commerce 's functions may stop working as expected.
  • If necessary, delete or reset the value, and reconfigure it to match AI Commerce 's default behavior.

This ensures that the business logic built into AI Commerce works smoothly and that your own additional attributes do not interfere with the platform's.
