Product page tabs help to clearly present additional product information, especially when the same information is common to multiple products (for example, care instructions, technical data, material images, or other general instructions). In this guide, we will go over how to create tabs, how to assign them to products, and what settings to consider. This will improve the product experience and save time by systematically presenting the same information for each relevant product.

Step-by-step guide: creating and managing tabs

Open Tab Manager

• In the Dashboard, go to “Product > Tabs”
• Or go to Tabs on the product page. Below the menu is the Edit Tabs link, clicking which will take you to the Product Tabs page.

Create a new tab

• Click the “Insert” button on the Product Tabs page.
• Enter a tab number. It is recommended to use, for example, 10, 20, 30… so that you do not have to change the tab numbers later if new tabs appear.
• You can set the tab to be visible or hidden by selecting visibility settings. This way, you can keep the tab ready without it being visible to customers yet.

Define tab content

• Enter a clear title for the tab (for example, “Care Instructions”).
• Add content using the editor's familiar tools (e.g. images, links, listings). For example, you can add visual instructions to help the customer better understand how to use the product.
• Save the tab information.

Assign tab to products

• Each product has a multi-select field where you can select tabs by holding down the Ctrl (Windows) or Cmd (Mac) key to select multiple tabs at once.
• Save the changes to the product details. This will make the tab appear on the product page as soon as it is active.

Check product page visibility

• Go to the product page of the online store and make sure that the created tab appears at the bottom of the page in tab form.
• If necessary, return to the Product Tabs page if you want to change the order or update the content.

Where do you edit from?

• The Product Tabs page (via the Product > Tabs view in the Dashboard) is where you create and manage tabs.
• The product's multi-select field selects which tabs are displayed for each product.

Additional tips

• For media, instruction manuals and manuals : use the Media section designed for them if the content is particularly extensive or you want to share downloadable files with the customer.
• Bundle configurator : if the product has a Bundle feature, the tab can be a good way to explain how to combine different parts, but it often makes sense to place product-specific instructions in the Media section.
