In this article, you will learn how to upload, categorize, and display various attachments (media files) in AI Commerce product cards. Categorization makes it easy to group documents like user manuals, certificates, and more so they can be found and managed efficiently.

1. Check the allowed file types

Before uploading, make sure your file is in one of the supported formats above. This will ensure that the file is displayed correctly in the user interface and the customer can open it without any problems.

2. Create and manage media categories (Media Categories)

  1. Go to the Products tab.
  2. Select Media Categories from the left-hand menu.
  3. Press the Insert button to add a new category (for example, Certificates , Manuals , Includes or their equivalents in Finnish).
  4. Specify a category code in your desired language and give the category a sequence number if you want to influence the order in which the categories are displayed.

Tip

Consider using predefined, clear names to make it easy to identify and find different file types.

3. Add media files to the product card

  1. Open the desired product from the Catalog view and go to the Media section within the product card.
  2. Select the category you want to attach the media file to (e.g. Certificates , Manuals ).
  3. Upload a file (choose from an allowed file format) and add a descriptive text that can replace the file name in the user interface.
  4. Save your changes so that the file appears on the File Attachments tab of the product card.

Where do you edit from?

You will find the button for the Media section of product cards in the same view where you edit the product's basic information, prices, or other features.

4. Customization and presentation

The files displayed on the product card can be presented to the customer in different ways based on the settings made by the integration partner. If you want to customize the appearance or grouping of the files, this is possible through configurations – for example, by highlighting certain categories.
