Editing homepage mega banners
This is how you edit the Large Banner and Mobile Banner images on the home page, their additional fields, and remove the banner if necessary using the Remove Banner option.
How to manage home page banners
Editing the content sections of the home page and Banner Places in the Control Panel are different functions. The images, texts and links displayed on the home page of the online store are edited in the CMS → Contents view of the control panel. Banner Places is a general banner register that handles the title, group, image key, target address and usage mode.
Edit the content section of the homepage
Open CMS → Contents and select the home page section you want to edit, or create a new content with the Section type. Set the section's Alignment to Home to display the section on the store's home page. Select an existing section when the change affects an image, text, or link already on the home page.
Images, texts and links are defined in the section's own editor. Editing the content of the front page is described in more detail in the How to edit the content of the front page? guide, which goes through the block types, draft and publication.
Use Banner Places for general banner placements
Open a generic banner slot in the Banner Slots view of the CMS menu in the dashboard using the Open function or select New Banner Slot . A banner slot has the fields Title , Group , Image Key , Destination URL , and In Use . A new slot is created using the Create Banner Slot function, and changes to an existing slot are saved automatically.
Limit of four special places on the front page
There is no confirmed editor in the control panel for desktop and mobile images, location-specific texts, effects, or separate link options for the four special locations on the home page. The general Banner Locations registry does not cover these fields. If the store's home page still uses this separate structure, the change requires an approved maintenance path.
Check the change in the store
After the change, check the homepage in desktop and mobile sizes and in each modified language. Make sure that the image displays correctly, the text fits in the space provided, and the link opens the intended destination. If the change does not display as expected, include the page address, the modified content or banner location, the language, and a screenshot of the observed difference in the support request.
