Banner Manager: how to edit the default banners of an online store?
A comprehensive guide to using the Banner Manager tool so you can effectively manage images and background images placed on different pages.
Banner Manager Tool Overview
The Banner Manager tool allows you to centrally manage various images and background images displayed on your pages in AI Commerce platform Dashboard. It can be found in the menu:
Tools > Banner Manager
The Banner Manager page shows a list of all images that can be used in different locations. Not all of the listed images may be active in your store, as each online store only uses the ones they need. Due to the shared Control Panel, you will also see banners that your store does not use.

Purpose of different images
Brands Left & Brands Right
- Used as brand collages on the homepage if the brand logos are imported as a fixed image (and not using dynamic brand listing).
- As the name suggests, one image is placed on the left and the other on the right.
- On mobile, the images are displayed one above the other, on a computer, they are displayed side by side.
Checkout Top Banner
- Checkout Header wallpaper.
- Usually a wide and shallow landscape image.
- The image format is not locked because it depends on the customer's screen size and the online store's configuration.
Customizable Page Background
- Background image for pages where customers can, for example, customize products (machine cards, customization, etc.).
- This is not used in most stores.
Default Sub-category Thumbnail
- Default image for subcategories if a separate thumbnail image is not defined for an individual subcategory.
Default Top Image
- Default image at the top of the page if no other banner is specified (e.g. categories, info pages).
- Appears very widely on various store pages, unless another image is placed in its place.
Email Template BG
- Background image for email messages (such as order confirmations).
- A light-colored or white image is recommended to improve readability.
- Alternatively, you can set a completely white image if you don't want any image surface on the background.
Footer BG Image
- Footer background image.
- It is recommended to choose an image with a dark or light tone so that the text stands out clearly.
Header Navi Default
- Default image for the header, if the store navigation draws an image for categories and no separate category or banner image has been defined.
HTML Invoice Background
- Used as the top or header image for an email order confirmation message.
- Included in emails with order confirmations.
- Often a horizontal image works best.
Newsletter Popup Background
- Newsletter subscription popup background image.
- More detailed settings for the popup can be found in the Configuration section (separate instructions available).
Return Slip EN / FI / SE
- PDF embed of the return form or instructions for each language.
- The customer can download a return form or instructions as a PDF file from the store's website.
